Who we are
Good Company Agency is a trading name of Three H Agency Pty Ltd as trustee for the Three H Agency Unit Trust, ABN 49 890 917 965. When we say "we" or "us", that's who we mean.
Questions about your information go to hello@goodcompanyagency.com.au. Loch looks after them.
What we collect
When you fill in the enquiry form: your name, your business name, what you do, your email, your phone number and suburb if you give them, your Instagram handle, who referred you, and what you tell us about what you've already got and what you need. The form also sends us your rough location (country and region) and the kind of device and browser you're using, so we can see where enquiries come from and check the page works. If you came from an ad or another website, it tells us which one (the ad's tracking code and the page you came from). Your browser holds onto that until you close the tab, so it can go in with the form.
When you book a call: your name, email, phone number, business name and anything else you put in the booking form.
When we work together:
- what you tell us in the brief
- photos and videos we film or you send us, which may include you, your team, your work and your premises
- logins or access to your Instagram, Facebook, Google Business Profile or LinkedIn, when you give them to us
- billing details we need to invoice you (we don't store card numbers)
When someone refers you: if you tell us who sent you, we keep their name so we can thank them.
Why we collect it
To:
- reply to you, talk through your options and quote
- do the job you've paid for, and hand it over
- invoice you and keep proper business records
- thank the people who refer you
- work out which marketing brings people to us, and improve the website
- send you the occasional email about Good Company, if you're a client or you've enquired
You can opt out of those emails any time. Reply "unsubscribe" or use the link at the bottom.
We don't sell your information. We don't rent it out either.
Who we share it with
Only who we need to, to do the job:
- Our team. A small team of trusted designers, editors and filmmakers works on Good Company jobs. Some are based outside Australia. They only see what they need for your job, and they're bound to keep it confidential.
- The tools we run the business on. Website hosting and forms (Netlify), website fonts (Google Fonts), email and calendar (Google Workspace), project management (Notion), design (Canva), invoicing (MYOB) and Instagram and Facebook (Meta). These services store data on their own servers, many of them in the United States.
- Our advisers. Our accountant and insurer, if they need it.
- Anyone the law requires.
Information that goes overseas
Some of the tools above store data outside Australia, mainly in the United States. Some members of our team work from other countries. We take reasonable steps to make sure anyone handling your information overseas treats it the way we would.
Your logins
If you give us access to your accounts, we keep the details in a password manager. Not in emails or notes. We use the access only for your job. Where we can, we use partner access (Meta Business Suite) so you never have to share a password. At handover we'll ask you to change any passwords you've shared.
Photos and videos of people
If we're filming at your business, you're responsible for letting your team and anyone else on camera know, and for getting their OK. We won't film your customers without their permission.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it for the reasons above. Tax law requires us to keep business records, including invoices, for at least 5 years. Enquiries that don't go anywhere get cleared out after 2 years. Raw footage is deleted 12 months after handover.
Keeping it safe
We use reputable services with proper security. Access is limited to people who need it, and we turn on two-step sign-in where we can. No system is perfect. If something goes wrong that affects your information, we'll tell you.
Seeing or fixing your information
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (unless we have to keep it by law). Email hello@goodcompanyagency.com.au and we'll reply within 30 days. Usually much sooner.
Complaints
Tell us first, at hello@goodcompanyagency.com.au, and we'll try to sort it out. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
